Happy Holidays friends!
I hope you all have been mostly nice and only a little naughty this year. If you've been more on the naughty side, you better have made some damn good cookies to leave out for Santa tonight! Jokes aside, the holidays are an ideal time to reflect and take stock of the many gifts in our lives. This year, I find myself marveling at how much my life has changed over the past 12 months. I moved to a new city, took a new position at work, adopted a cat, got married and by which gained a lovely extended family. It has been a very eventful year!
With the my first Boston anniversary just around the corner, I wanted to make a tribute to Bean Town by sharing some of my favorite Boston blogs. So, in no particular order, here they are!
- Pumps & Iron is a healthy lifestyle blog that shares tons of great ideas to spice up a stale routine and integrate more exercise into your everyday life. With the holidays in full swing, I am really digging this Core Couch Workout (read: lazy). This blog even has drinking game style fitness challenges specifically tailored specifically to different TV shows. Winter survival people! Can't wait to get back into my regular fitness routine and try some of these inventive workouts after the holidays.
- Elements of Style is an interior/fashion/event design blog written by Erin Gates of Erin Gates Design. This blog gets my creative juices flowing and provides tons of beautiful images to oggle and drool over. Her portfolio is gorgeous and so very New England. I wish I had the space and funds to bankroll some of her styling in my home! I also really dig the editorial layout of the Elements site.
- Tiny Urban Kitchen is a delightful food blog filled with recipes, gastronomic travels and extensive Boston restaurant reviews. Tiny Urban Kitchen also has a special place in my heart as I can totally relate to the tiny kitchen piece! Jen recently posted this list of her Top 10 Favorite Dishes in Boston. Many of these are new to me. Clearly, I have a lot of eating to do in 2015.
- BostInno has quickly grow into a go-to staple for all things Boston. They do a nice job covering the Boston food scene as well as local news, technology, business, events, sports etc. I often find myself lured in by one article only to cruise through the last several pages of blog posts. Check it out have grow tired of the stogy Boston Globe and/or are looking for a fresh take on Boston news.
